Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
Freterium ("Freterium", "we", "us", or "our") provides a supply chain operating system connecting shippers, carriers, and fleets, including our website (freterium.ai), our web platform, and our mobile applications for drivers and inspectors (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
If your organization uses Freterium, your employer or the business that invited you to use the Services (the "Customer") controls the account and much of the data processed through it. Where we act as a service provider/processor on behalf of a Customer, that Customer's own privacy policy and instructions govern in addition to this notice.
Information We Collect
Account and Profile Information
When you or your organization create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, job role, company name, and login credentials.
Operational and Order Data
To operate the platform, we process information related to orders, shipments, routes, missions, inspections, vehicles, and documents (such as bills of lading, proof of delivery, and inspection reports) submitted by Customers, drivers, and their counterparts.
Location Data (Mobile Driver App)
The Freterium driver mobile app requests precise (GPS) and, where enabled by the driver and their organization, background location access. This is used to track vehicle position and progress along a trip, share live ETAs with dispatchers and customers, and record delivery/pickup locations. Background location continues to run while the app is in the foreground service required for trip tracking; it can be disabled in your device settings, which may limit trip-tracking functionality.
Camera, Photos, and Documents
The mobile app uses the device camera and photo library, with your permission, to capture proof-of-delivery photos, signatures, barcodes/QR codes, and to scan documents (e.g. via on-device document/barcode scanning). Captured images and documents are uploaded to the Services and associated with the relevant order or mission.
Push Notifications
We use push notification services (including Firebase Cloud Messaging) to send you trip, order, and account-related alerts. This requires a device token, which we store and use solely to deliver notifications to your device. You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.
Device, Diagnostic, and Usage Data
We collect technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, and crash/error diagnostics (via Sentry) to keep the Services reliable and secure. Where enabled, we also use session-replay and product-analytics tooling (such as Microsoft Clarity) to understand how the app and website are used and to diagnose usability issues; this data is used in aggregate to improve the product.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and (with consent, where required) marketing purposes. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to manage your preferences.
How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including trip tracking, dispatching, and document management.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Communicate with you about orders, trips, account activity, and support requests.
- Monitor, debug, and improve performance, reliability, and usability of the Services.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:
- Other parties in the same supply chain workflow (e.g. a driver's location and delivery status may be visible to the dispatching Customer and, where configured, their shipper/customer).
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, error monitoring (Sentry), analytics (Microsoft Clarity), push notification delivery (Firebase/Google), and transactional email (SendGrid).
- Authorities, where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Freterium, our users, or the public.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy or an equivalent one.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes, such as maintaining performance, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods for operational data (e.g. order and trip history) are generally aligned with the Customer's contractual and record-keeping requirements.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law (including the GDPR for individuals in the EU/EEA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. If your account was created by an employer or Customer, please contact them first, as they typically control the account; you can also contact us directly using the details below and we will route your request appropriately.
Data Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for business use by adults (e.g. drivers, dispatchers, and fleet operators) and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International Data Transfers
We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, through additional notice within the Services.
